Li Feng closed his eyes, almost fainting from this guy’s antics. As soon as he sees a woman, his feet stop working—no matter if she’s young or old, he’s interested. No wonder he’s determined to be a gossip journalist. Perfect fit for the job.
Too bad the nurse wasn”t having it. “Please wait outside. The doctor will be here soon. Li Feng, do you feel any discomfort?”
“Thanks, I feel great.”
Li Feng said with a smile, and it was the truth. After such a long sleep, not only did he not feel dizzy, but he was bursting with energy, except his stomach was growling like crazy.
"Nurse sister, you're an angel in white, make sure to check him carefully later, don't miss any root cause, he's still a virgin, with a long future ahead."
Three black lines appeared on Li Feng's face. This guy was using every trick in the book to find a topic, but the very professional young nurse rudely pushed the nagging Ma Ka out. Then the doctors gave Li Feng a thorough check, and the results came out quickly.
Very good, healthier than a normal person, only with a bit of a strong gastrointestinal reaction, which was due to hunger, so Li Feng could be discharged.
Ma Ka was still a bit regretful about Li Feng's discharge—if he kept staying, it would be great, more chances to interact with the cute girl. Li Feng was so mad he wanted to kick him, but since Ma Ka was treating him, he let it slide.
But soon Ma Ka regretted his decision. Watching the plates come up like a stream, Ma Ka finally realized how terrifying the appetite of someone who had slept for three days could be. A week's allowance had already gone into that guy's stomach. If he'd known, he would've taken him to a street stall. Was this what they call 'showing off brings lightning'?
After eating for another half hour, Li Feng was finally satisfied. Looking at Ma Ka's face as dark as charcoal, he showed a bright, sunny smile. "Full of energy, time to move around now. After three days of lying down, I feel like a mummy who's been lying there for three years."
Ma Ka stared at his credit card gloomily. "What kind of mummy eats this much? Forget it, here, take the keys, go yourself. I need to find a chick to soothe my wounded soul."
"Ah, who bullied you?" Li Feng looked at poor Ma Ka with an innocent expression. Ma Ka fainted.
Maka's parents were in intercontinental trade, they had their own company, not a monopoly, but enough to put them among the top at school, but they were often away from home, so the large, luxurious house became a hangout for the two of them, and Li Feng couldn't be more familiar with it.
A gravity controller was definitely high-end equipment, not something ordinary rich people could afford. Maka had persuaded his parents to buy it back then under the pretext of exercising to join the military, but his real purpose was to try having sex in zero gravity, though the result was terrible.
It took five minutes to start the machine, and Li Feng rushed in excitedly. Besides the Space War Game, this was his favorite thing. The Space War Game was developed after humanity entered the age of interstellar aviation; ordinary citizens could play it, and the military could too. A player's physical condition would automatically be recorded in their file, and operating a mobile suit was simulated, meaning to maneuver flexibly, one had to meet certain physical standards, which couldn't be improved in the game—you had to train in real life. Of course, skill and technique could be honed, and what you could do in the game, you could also achieve seventy or eighty percent in reality. This was why the military valued the game. But after all, it was just a game—while physical condition couldn't change, mobile suits could evolve, which was the future direction of mobile suit development.
The lowest-level mobile suit was the old BS001 developed by the Evanthians' NUP. It was slow, had limited attack options, weak power, and was difficult to operate; the average human body couldn't handle it. Neither Evanthians nor humans bothered with this model when playing the Space Game. Anyone who chose it was just asking for a beating; they'd rather spend a little money to upgrade directly to a basic mobile suit.
In actual military equipment, this mobile suit had been phased out. Occasionally, you'd see one at some mines or training bases. That thing was just too tiring to operate—even the Evanthians didn't want to use it.
One level above the BS001 were the current standard mobile suit models of the NUF and USE.
There are two models from NUF, the Knight TM and the Beast TN. The Knight is a humanoid mobile suit, upgraded from the BS001. It's easier to operate, with much improved reaction time, equipped with an Alpha alloy blade and a main battle laser gun, adaptable to various environments. The downside is that its mobility still can't be maximized.
The Beast TN is an animal-type machine, adopting a wolf-tiger appearance. Its mobility has been greatly improved, but its firepower is reduced. Attacks mainly rely on the alloy blade on its forehead for ramming and cutting, as well as the laser gun in its mouth. Its stability is somewhat inferior to the Knight TM.
There are two models from USE, the Cannor Type III and the Normandy Type A. The Cannor Type III makes up 80% of the human army. To put it bluntly, it's a copy of the Knight TM, half a ton lighter, easier to operate, and more suited for humans. It has slightly better flexibility, but its firepower is weaker. This model wins battles through numbers.
The Normandy Type A is a relatively rare aerial combat model, the only one among the four basic types with flight capability. Its performance in the air is decent, giving it a clear advantage over the Beast TN series. However, it's very vulnerable against bombers. Gaining one capability makes it relatively weak in ground combat. It's specifically designed to counter the Beast TN, and also serves as a preparation for developing true all-weather combat mobile suits in the future.
These are the models available to ordinary players. On top of these, there are many more exaggerated models. After all, it's a game—it can't be this simple. Whether those models exist in reality is something only those in power know. Both NUP and USE are definitely hiding their true strength, but that doesn't stop the Universe War game from being a craze.
Li Feng was still the same—shirtless, walking into the gravity chamber. He didn't look especially muscular, but you could see the power hidden in those muscles. He could now handle double gravity, which he heard was already the standard for mobile suit pilots. What a shame he still had to take the exam. God, wasn't there any way to skip the entrance test?
Having not exercised for a long time, Li Feng felt itchy all over. He rushed in and performed a set of standard military drills—of course all set up by Maka’s father, but Maka had zero interest in it and had reservations about Li Feng doing these exercises all day. He thought it was better to spend that energy on girls instead of wasting it on a pile of pig iron.
After ten minutes of training, Li Feng felt nothing. Normally by this time he’d be drenched in sweat... but today he hadn’t even broken a sweat. Was the gravity machine broken?
Li Feng checked the readings—everything’s running normally. What’s going on?
He gradually increased the gravity to 2.5 times, but his body felt no heavy pressure. Three times... still no reaction. Was it really broken?
Li Feng found the manual and adjusted it according to the instructions... still no problem!
Hell, did that meteor hit give me hallucinations?
