Chapter 16

Chapter 16

Yang Luo swirled his glass. "Vodka, you haven't changed a bit." He took a sip after speaking.

Feng Kun swirled his glass. "Everything changes, but the bond between brothers doesn't. Vodka's just like our brotherhood—strong and fiery."

"Hehe... a few years gone and you've learned to be all deep and mysterious."

Feng Kun raised his glass. "Come! A toast to our reunion." Yang Luo raised his too and downed it in one gulp.

They drank glass after glass. After a few, it still didn't feel like enough. Yang Luo said to the bartender, "Little sister! Just bring us the bottle. No glasses." The girl brought two bottles and set them on the counter.

"Smack!"

The two clanked their bottles hard and shouted, "Drink up!" They chugged straight from the whole bottles. The girl stared in shock—this wasn't drinking; even chugging water wasn't done like this.

"Smack! Smack!"

With two sharp cracks, they hurled the empty bottles hard onto the floor, then stared at each other and roared with laughter. "F***ing awesome... Little sister! Two more bottles." The whole bar frowned and glared at them.

In a dark corner, a sexy, strikingly beautiful woman stared unblinkingly at Yang Luo. His face wasn't especially handsome, but it was sharp and angular, carrying an indescribable air of carefree abandon, along with a lazy, wicked edge.

Yang Luo and Feng Kun drank while laughing wildly and shouting recklessly, treating the place like anything but a bar—more like a wild, hedonistic club.

Yang Luo grew more and more unrestrained, radiating the untamed spirit of a free soul, the kind that would charge forward even against a thousand enemies. The eyes fixed on him gradually became infatuated.

"Is this really him?"

A dozen empty bottles were already on the counter, and the girl was stunned. What kind of person could live so freely and with such style? Swagger without lacking boldness. Maybe a guy like that is the real man.

"Bam! Bam!"

Just as the girl stood frozen in a daze, she heard two heavy thuds hitting the ground. Yang Luo and Feng Kun were gone from her sight. When she leaned out from behind the bar, she saw those two guys sprawled on the floor snoring away.

The woman who had been staring at Yang Luo was none other than Bei Yinyao. Seeing Yang Luo drunk and fallen to the ground, she quickly came over.

"Sis Bei! You know him?" The girl stepped out from behind the bar, pointing at Yang Luo.

Bei Yinyao nodded. "I do."

The girl smiled happily. "Great, that makes it easy. You take this guy home. The other one is my boss's friend, I'll have her take him back when she gets here."

Bei Yinyao hesitated for a moment, but finally nodded. She crouched down, struggled to lift Yang Luo up, leaned him against herself, and shuffled out step by step.

The girl called over two waiters to move Feng Kun to a nearby chair, then chased after Bei Yinyao to help her get Yang Luo into the car.

Bei Yinyao sat in the driver's seat, wiped the sweat off her forehead, and glanced back at Yang Luo passed out cold. "So heavy." But after driving a stretch, she suddenly realized she had no idea where this guy lived.

With him this out of it, waking him up was out of the question. Bei Yinyao drove slowly, hesitating the whole way. By the time she made up her mind to take Yang Luo to her own place first, she realized she was already home.

Bei Yinyao parked the car at the door and struggled for a long time to get Yang Luo out of the car. But the guy was too heavy, and especially since Bei Yinyao was wearing high heels, she lost her balance and both of them fell to the ground at the same time.
