Chapter 15

Yang Luo looked at him and said, “You work as an errand boy for my Old Man?”

Feng Kun nodded. “Ever since you joined the army and left, we brothers scattered. | Some joined the army like you, some went to college, some went into business. And me? I got to work for your Old Man thanks to the stuff you taught me when we were kids. Your Old Man personally came to my old man and asked for me.”

He smiled at this. “Young Master Yang! You don’t know. After you left for the army, that guy Zhang Zheng threw several banquets to celebrate.”

Yang Luo took a drag and chuckled darkly. “F***! Relying on his old man being vice chairman to do whatever he wants, he actually f***ing dared to cause me trouble.”

“Heh heh... Back in those days, every time you saw him, you beat him up. Later, that kid would run as soon as he saw you.” Feng Kun laughed, remembering their childhood.

Yang Luo stood up and said, “How many years has it been since we brothers saw each other?”

Feng Kun thought for a moment. “Since you joined the army at seventeen, we haven’t seen each other. Seems like about six years. |”

Yang Luo walked to the window and looked outside, his gaze a little distant. “It’s seven years. And Shi Qi has been gone for three years too. Time really flies.”

Feng Kun walked over to him and patted him on the shoulder. “It’s been this long. You should pull yourself together. If Sister Shi Qi could see you like this from above, she’d be heartbroken. I don’t think she’d want you to stay so down.”

Yang Luo suddenly laughed: "Who says I'm down and out? I've been traveling the world for years, sleeping with beauties all over, living like a professional scoundrel."

"You?" Feng Kun sneered: "Forget it, you look like a lecher when you see a pretty girl, but when it comes to the real deal, you, man, run faster than anyone. You tell us you peeped at a girl peeing at 13—I'm starting to think you're full of it."

Yang Luo said: "I definitely saw it, I can swear on it."

Feng Kun waved his hand: "Your vows are as cheap as water; we brothers have heard them so much our ears are calloused."

Yang Luo rubbed his nose and turned toward the door: "We haven't seen each other in years, let's go grab a drink."

"Sure! Today we drink till we drop." Feng Kun said.

By now it was dark outside, all of Shanghai was bathed in neon lights, and the crowds on the streets were even thicker than during the day. Feng Kun pointed at a Land Rover: "What do you think of my ride, bro?"

Yang Luo looked it over: "It's okay."

"I knew you'd say that." He opened the door and got in the car. "I know a bar with a great vibe, and a lot of hot girls gather there at night."

Yang Luo's eyes lit up: "That's the place—I'm all about the pretty women."

Feng Kun glanced at him: "Hope you finally lose your virginity today, and don't just talk about it."

Sige Bar wasn't too famous, but the atmosphere was definitely classy. Most of the people here were white-collar workers, coming to unwind at night after the stress of the day. Some were also here to hunt for a hookup or a one-night stand.

As soon as Yang Luo followed Feng Kun into the bar, he sensed the difference—soft lighting and elegant piano music made him feel light all over. It was definitely a great place to decompress.

The two went straight to the bar. Sitting on the high stools, Feng Kun said: "Two vodkas, nothing mixed in."

The bartender was a girl in her twenties, not particularly pretty, but she had a refreshing vibe: "I know Brother Feng's rules." Apparently, this guy was a regular here.
